Still a week and a half to go until Spring officially arrives, but where I am the dogwoods are beginning to bloom, as are the redbuds. The wisteria (藤) usually bursts forth around March 24, give or take a day. The snapshots below are all from Kyoto, all from last April (’09).

Please note regarding the “April Group Trip” to Kyoto (top of this page): it’s been moved to Autumn. Details will be coming soon (dates and such), but the day to day itinerary will be very, very close to the one outlined and viewable in the link above. I will be taking an end-of-May trip to Tokyo and Kyoto, guiding a group of graduate students there — well, the tickets are all bought and the hotel reservations have all be made and an itinerary’s being finalized over the couple few weeks.
